Welcome to Guardian Minifarm

Iron Mountain, Michigan

Our family raises quality European bloodline German Shepherds. These dogs are our pets, raised in our home and not in a kennel facility. They are black and red saddleback shepherds. Our dogs are intelligent, have good, natural protective instincts and make excellent family dogs.

Kaylah

Kimber

Kaylah’s puppies are two weeks old in the following pictures, August 26, 2026. Kaylah is a black and red saddle back GSD with a stock coat (short). The father of this litter is Roman, a blanketed (mostly black) with a long coat. Kaylah does have a long coated grandfather, so we are hoping for one or two long coat pups. We will see as they grow older. They say you can see it in the ears. If they are extra fluffy, you probably have a long coat. We are hoping for dark black and red saddleback pups.

Kimber’s pups are two weeks old today, August 28, 2026. We took a few pictures to show their progress. Kimber’s grandma was a pure black German Shepherd and the father of the litter is a dark black blanketed GSD. Kimber’s pups will likely be dark black and red saddleback or blanketed (mostly black). The father is also a long coat, but Kimber has no long coated GSDs in her lineage (that we know of), so my understanding, is that the pups will have a stock coat (short), but I am no expert on genetics. This was what I “think” I remember from studying the subject. Keep checking in as they grow and we will see.
